Involvement
Over the years, I have become a very involved person in my community and in other communities in and outside of Indiana. Some of these activities include:
-TST (Teen Service Team) at Springhill Camp in Seymour, IN. There I volunteered with helping organize and clean up activities for younger campers.
-4 youth mission trips through my church, Second Presbyterian. These included landscape and community work in Evansville, IN, inner city volunteering and community clean up in St. Louis and Chicago as well as renovation of a rural church in Broken Arrow, OK.
-Various volunteering and community pitch-in activities with my former Boy Scout Troop.
-Other volunteer activities through my church in my middle school and high school years.
Overall, this recurring involvement and volunteering has taught me many lessons in humility and has given me a broader outlook on life as well as showing me just how privileged I am.
