Personality Profile
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Form Q
The Myers-Briggs Form Q is a personality assessment based off the theories of famed analytical psychologist Carl Jung. It is the most widely used personality inventory assessment in the world, and it determines your personality type by 4 categorized dichotomies:
-Extraversion-Introversion
-Sensing-Intuition
-Thinking-Feeling
-Judging-Perceiving
I was assessed as an INFJ, or an introvert who possesses intuition, feeling and perceiving characteristics. Basically, this means that I am a quieter individual who uses my instincts in situations as well as my personal feelings. Also, I am a very detailed and receptive person, therefore I am more perceiving over judging.
SIGI 3
SIGI 3 is a student-oriented personality assessment tool that is very in depth and focuses and puts heavy emphasis on career possibilities, prospects and attributes that would make that career a good fit for you. It assesses your personal tastes and skills pertaining to what you think of yourself, and in that way, it makes a relatively accurate judgment of what is important to you.
According to this assessment, my top 3 attributes for my career are independence, prestige, and security. In other words, I want to more or less be free with my work and not have to constantly report or even worry about someone higher up than me controlling my work and what I do. Along the same line, I want my job to be well-respected by those around me and be recognized for my hard work and contributions to whatever I am working on; I also want my job to be stable and have a financially secure nature.
Strengths Finder 2.0
The book Strength Finder 2.0 was written by Tom Rath in order to help people better understand and discover their personal attributes that influence and control their actions the most. It encompasses many of the testing techniques that were used within the Myers-Briggs Form Q, but it presents the testing material in a bit of a different way. Once I took the test, I discovered that my top 5 attributes, or skills, are empathy, maximizer, developer, consistency, and strategic. Here are the results broken down into a simple description by the results report:
